About
Welcome to my site! I am a fitness professional with nearly 10 years of experience. The tips and ideas you see in my blog are the fruits of years spent researching and practicing a fit lifestyle.
I have overcome a 90 lbs weight loss battle and currently spend the bulk of my time training as an NPC Figure Competitor while publishing the information found in this and my other social media outlets. In 2010 I launched my women's only fitness camp, Nikki Mack's Fitness Factory.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I get started training with you?
I work with clients primarily on a consultation basis. My service options include program development, customized nutrition prescription, and e-coaching. You and I will determine what you need to get fit, I write your program and e-mail it to you. Once you start, I'm available via e-mail, text message, or phone to coach you along your fitness journey. E-mail me to sign up!
2. What is your education?
I graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2003 with an award of the highest GPA in my graduating department. I received my B.S. in Corporate Communications and apply my field of study to developing and marketing my business.
3. You've always been fit. How you can relate to me with my weight loss struggle?
After giving birth to my son, Clayton, in 2009 I found myself tired, overwhelmed and struggling to lose the 90 lbs I had gained during pregnancy. I commited myself to effecient training and smart nutrition, and within 12 months, I was back in contest shape.
4. What happens at your camps?
I aim to equip you with the knowledge and tools to get and keep you fit for a lifetime. Nikki Mack's Fitness Factory provides a hands on education on how to train and fuel yourself for a fitter lifestyle. I don't deliver a weekend of intense workouts; I deliver a weekend of community, support, and the information you need to get out there and reach your goals. Information on upcoming events can be found on my Camps page.
5. How do I become a personal trainer?
If people and fitness are truly your passions, I would first suggest seeking a degree in the areas of kinesiology, exercise science, or nutrition. A solid knowledge base is imperative when changing the lives and bodies of trusting clients. Get your hands on every credible piece of information you can regarding diet and exercise!
Second, get a training specific certification.
Third, start training. I always felt like the best way to learn was to do. My very first client was me and I continue to be my own guinea pig to this day. Once your comfortable with training and nutrition basics, get out there and start training others.
