Why: Many gals are unsure of what getMacked fit camp is all about. No matter your age, weight, or fitness background, there's something in these 5 fit fundamentals for you!
1. Focus on the positive.

If you've followed my previous posts, then by now you get the hint. A positive outlook perpetuates a positive self image which perpetuates a fitter you. Your best shot at achieving your goals lies centrally on perspective. Come to fit camp to learn strategies to focus on your own efforts rather than comparisons to others, reframe your viewpoint to see opportunities in lieu of obstacles, and fuel affirmations while refuting the negative.
2. Celebrate who you are today.
Don't waste one second of the beautiful self you are today waiting to be someone else. We all have things we want to change or improve, but in the meatime, fuel affirmations by dressing and being your best self today. This year we'll be honored to have Rebecca Thompson, wardrobe consultant to the Who's Who of Nashville. Come learn how to accentuate all your positives, hide your flaws, and put your best foot forward.
3. Get fit from the inside out.
The most valuable lessons I have obtained in my years of training relate to ways to protect my joints and prevent injuries. The fittest bodies are healthy, flexible, and have a solid foundation of strength and mobility. Sandy Vanhooydonk, a therapist with Results Physiotherapy, will be on site this year to talk through your most advantageous plan of treatment or prevention.
4. Unsolve your body's mysteries.
The most mysterious component to female wellness is hormones. Regular hormone cycles, pre and post pregnancy body changes, and menapause can leave even the most accomplished fitness professional scratching her head. Come hear Dr. Larry Gurley and Jenny Verner, RNC, MSN of the GYN Center unlock your most perplexing women's health questions.
5. Eat, drink, and be merry. . . and don't forget your pushups.
Whether you've been leading a fit lifestyle for years or are just starting out, I've got programs, strategies, tips and tricks to help you eat better and exercise more efficiently. You're also bound to find fun and fellowship at fit camp with other like minded women. We'll also make sure to eat, drink, and be merry together and fit in some time for a few squats and pushups.
This year's fit camp will be on April 20-21st at Judson Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. Click on Mack Camps page for more info or e-mail me at nikki@getmacked.com. get Macked!
